This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 13th International Conference on High-Performance Computing, HiPC 2006, held in Bangalore, India in December 2006. Yves Benoist is a French mathematician, known for his work on group dynamics on homogeneous spaces. He is currently a Director of Research (Directeur de Recherche) of CNRS at the University of Paris-Sud.
