Summary and Info
David Brown's style is learned but engaging. His subject matter will interest almost anyone fascinated by religion today, for he deals with how things work in religion: specifically, with such experiences as hymns, psalms, drama, and music. As always, Brown is a mainstream, orthodox thinker who is never afraid to challenge the received view of important matters. This book is part of a larger project, all of whose parts can be highly recommended.
