Summary and Info
(GOD) AFTER AUSCHWITZ TRADITION AND CHANGE IN POST-HOLOCAUST JEWISH THOUGHT is a Book that addresses a topic which I first encounter while in High School. A friends mother was a survivor of AUSCHWITZ and she was a beautiful women. How in the hell that could happened to such a nice, good, and decent person while she was a young girl.
For many survivors God simply does not exist! This book tries to address how Jews see God today. Well for many God does not exist! For others God is not such a nice guy, and for others who have chosen to look to the other side have continued with the millenary religion.
In reality this book is an apology trying to justify religion and a God that failed mankind. This book belongs with the writings of Augustine, Jerome, Anthony, Tertullian and the likes.
There is no way to justify Hitler, Mao, Bin Laden, Stalin or any other beast. Justifying a god that permitted that level of bestiality upon mankind is not justifiable at all. Only a sick mind will do it!
In the absences of solid reasoning, apologist have step forward trying to re-invent god! Let the lack of reasoning continue and we will lose the World. Religions such as the Jewish, the Christian, and the Islam have preached hatred, slavery, blood spilling, and intolerance; look where it has taken us. NOWHERE!
Let god and the devil solve their problems and lets unite in peace and love. If god wants us, let him show his love by stopping his destruction dreams and plans!
The book is well written, with a balanced view of the issue and it is worth reading. It will enlighten you!
