Garner (born November 17, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas) is an American lawyer, lexicographer, and teacher who has written more than two dozen books about English usage and style, advocacy, jurisprudence, legal drafting, and golf (including Garner's Modern English Usage and The Elements of Legal Style).
