Guidelines are laid down in an accessible format together with flow diagrams and documentation, and many sample forms are provided. These can easily be adapted to suit a maintenance engineer's needs, and are particularly helpful for the installation of a new system. The author is a maintenance manager and has worked as a plant engineer in a wide variety of process industries, both in Europe and the Middle East
